Python!

On the way back from canoeing, we nearly ran over a python snake (they told us) that was sunning itself in the middle of the highway. He was a big snake and they said he had recently eaten and was warming up in the sun, which is what made him so lathargic. Our guide Memo decided to move him off the street so he wouldn't get run over. This entailed holding down the back of his head with a big stick while grabbing his at the head (so he wouldn't bite) and tail. He did try bite, but couldn't...they aren't poisonous though, they just try to strangle their pray! Memo through the python into the sugar cane off the side of the road. BTW, he was a very stinky python...Memo's hands reeked of a foul odor like rotten fish. Stunk up the whole van!
